There was something magical about the process of animation before the advent of digital tools. The art was tangible, and didn’t require staring into a computer screen all day long. Though it was slower, limiting, more cumbersome, more time-consuming, and more difficult, when it all came together with final picture and sound, it provided a satisfaction that I miss in today’s digital environment.

This video brings me back to the romance of the tangible, analogue animation process that I had the privilege of working in before the technological overhaul changed everything.
