Antonio Cerdan is working on a short film called “Mime,” which is a very ambitious performance effort about a mime. The challenge to make this work will be a good execution of pantomime, which is the foundation for traditional character animation. Good pantomime has high appeal, and the two necessary components of appeal are simplicity and clarity.

Antonio’s work at this stage is to plot out the basic posing. Nothing is animated yet, he is just blocking out the basic action and timing. Yet, even at this stage, this initial work will have a strong influence on the work to follow.
